If you get a chance to experience the rope drop at Animal Kingdom do! Why? Well, it is always fun to be among the first guests in the park and you get to beat the heat a little by arriving at one of the coolest part of the day. You will also get to enjoy the "Let The Adventure Begin" show that you can only see during the rope drop. This show isn't long, but it is fun.
We were all standing behind ropes just inside the entrance of the park waiting for the show to begin. Music began to play and I looked up to see Mickey, Minnie and Pluto arriving on the back of a cool looking safari truck.
The truck stopped in the middle of the path and the show began.
After the show the safari truck pulled away while Mickey, Minnie and Pluto waved good bye. Once the truck was out of sight the park officially opened and the people rushed in (Some people really do rush to get in the park, so make sure you take little children by the hand for safety reasons.). We really enjoyed the rope drop, but sadly I do not have many quality photo shots of the show. Why? I did not think to take my camera out of my bag so it could thaw out from being in an air conditioned bus ride over to the park. The camera lens kept fogging up! So, word to the wise here! Take you camera out of the bag early so it has a chance to warm up before the fun begins. :) Have you been to a rope drop at one of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks?
