Dining At The Crystal Palace In The Magic Kingdon

One of my favorite places to dine at the Magic Kingdom is at the Crystal Palace.
The fact that it is a Character Meal with Winnie the Pooh and his friends just makes it that much more special!
It doesn't matter if you are there for breakfast, lunch or dinner you will find something at the buffet that everyone enjoys.
Not only is the food wonderful, but the details in the building are fun too.  You always need to remember to look up when you are in Walt Disney World because you never know what you might see. There are Disney details and magic to be found everywhere.  Look up inside the Crystal Palace and this is what you will see.
While you are eating Winnie the Pooh and his friends come around to your table and stop to greet you and for a photo.  Tigger is always fun, but be careful as you never know what he is going to do. He can be a little mischievous at times!
Pigglet is just sweet!
And of course a photo opportunity with Winnie The Pooh is always the highlight of the meal.
Great food and Disney friends is always a perfect combination!

Towel Animals On The Disney Cruise Line Ship The Wonder

When you cruise with the Disney Cruise Line you are surrounded by special touches that just make your experience aboard ship even more fun. Each night when we would return to our stateroom on The Disney Wonder our bed would be turned down, a towel animal would be waiting for us, and some yummy chocolate would be close by.
A swan waited for us on the first night.
How about a dinosaur? Next to the chocolate is a note that reminded all cruisers to set their clock back an hour that night. Disney Cruise Line is great at keeping
their cruisers informed.
We found our nightly chocolate as they eyes of this cute little money! Our Stateroom host told us that if we didn't talk to the monkey every once in a while the monkey would become very mischievous.  Guess we talked to it enough, as we always found our stateroom in pristine condition.
A bunny greeted us one night, but I must have eaten the chocolate before I took the photo!

Talk about puppy dog eyes!
Lobster anyone?
I spied these towel swans one day on the deck.
For some reason I love towel animals. How about you?

Disney's Animal Kingdom® Animal Sightings

Disney's Animal Kingdom® has so many animals to see and enjoy that I thought I would post just a sampling of a few today.

Did you figure out what the second from the last photo is?  Yes, it is a bat! Those things creep me out every time I see them!  Be on the look out for the next post of sights in Disney's Animal Kingdom® coming up!

Mickey Shaped Pizzas Marilyn's Side of the story.

While I love to cook, on busy days I want something easy. I love to be able to just pull something out of my freezer that I have made previously for just this type of night. I ran across a blog that had a recipe and directions for making Pizzas that you partially pre-bake, freeze and then pull out and pop it in the oven. Yum!  (You can find more information and the recipe on Everyday Food Storage  here.) I couldn't quit thinking about that pizza. I told my partner in crime, a.k.a. Charlene (Agent On The Loose) all about it. We have cooked freezer meals together before and she is used to me saying, "We just HAVE to make this!". We make a great team in the kitchen. I like the cooking part and Charlene likes the organizing/cleaning part. :)  I believe it was Char who came up with the idea of making a very special pizza and then posting about it on our blogs. Make sure you go over find her post about the pizzas here! No one can tell a story in quite the same way and I think you will enjoy reading her post too!  Now for the making of the pizza!

  We gathered the needed supplies.

The ingredients weren't hard to find.
Since the recipe makes a very large batch of dough for the crust we divided the ingredients in half and made it in two batches. I loved using the mixer because I didn't have to kneed the dough by hand!
This is why I said this pizza was special.  We made one of the pizzas in the shape of Mickey Mouse! Talk about fun!
Here is is all hot and bubbly right out of the oven.
It didn't take us long to cut into it so we could see if this was what I call a "Make Again" type of recipe.
What do you think? Was it a "Make Again" recipe? You bet!!!  We had a blast working together in the kitchen, and our families enjoyed the pizza. Such a deal!

Animal Kingdom Rope Drop

If you get a chance to experience the rope drop at Animal Kingdom do! Why? Well, it is always fun to be among the first guests in the park and you get to beat the heat a little by arriving at one of the coolest part of the day. You will also get to enjoy the "Let The Adventure Begin" show that you can only see during the rope drop.  This show isn't long, but it is  fun.
We were all standing behind ropes just inside the entrance of the park waiting for the show to begin.  Music began to play and I looked up to see Mickey, Minnie and Pluto arriving on the back of a cool looking safari truck.

The truck stopped in the middle of the path and the show began.

After the show the safari truck pulled away while Mickey, Minnie and Pluto waved good bye.  Once the truck was out of sight the park officially opened and the people rushed in (Some people really do rush to get in the park, so make sure you take little children by the hand for safety reasons.). We really enjoyed the rope drop, but sadly I do not have many quality photo shots of the show. Why? I did not think to take my camera out of my bag so it could thaw out from being in an air conditioned bus ride over to the park. The camera lens kept fogging up! So, word to the wise here!  Take you camera out of the bag early so it has a chance to warm up before the fun begins. :) Have you been to a rope drop at one of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks? I would love to hear what you think about them!

Cleaning Up On The Disney Cruise Line - Magical Memory Monday

When you walk into the Atrium Lobby of the Disney Wonder cruise ship and look up you will see an amazing chandelier called "Festa Venezia". It is made up of more then 500 handmade trumpet-shaped elements.  Yes, it is beautiful, and wow is it ever big!! On our last cruise we were heading out to visit Cabo San Lucas and decided to walk through the Atrium first.  Much to our surprise there was a cherry picker device sitting in the middle of the Atrium and a Crew Member standing on it, holding a long pole and getting ready to be raised up. Of course I had to stay and find out what was going to happen next!
It was time for a little cleaning!
While he was cleaning the different trumpet shapes they shook a little. That made me hold my breath a little bit, but the Crew Member just took it in stride.  I wonder how many times he has been up there cleaning the chandelier? The Disney Cruise Line is very good about keeping their ships in tip top condition and this is just an example of how they do that!

Pirates IN The Caribbean Bag Giveaway

Sorry, but this Giveaway is now expired. Scroll down to see who won the bag!

If the Disney Cruise Line ship that you are sailing on has a Pirates IN the Caribbean Deck Party then you will probably receive a special scarf at dinner.  We received scarfs on our Mexican Rivera Cruise on the Disney Wonder.
I looked for a photo of me wearing the scarf but sadly there wasn't one.  If you look closely at the people here in front of the stage you can see theirs! While souvenirs are a lot of fun sometimes you don't know what to do with them when you get home.  Instead of storing my scarf away I decided to make something with it.
I made a Snap Happy Bag with the scarf. You may be asking what is a Snap Happy bag? My hobby is quilting and I have another blog called Piece By Piece.  You can click on the blogs name and go and see what I am talking about and at the same time enter a Giveaway for more Snap Happy Bags there too!
This is the bag that you can win from this post! It is a one of a kind, well at least it will be until I get another bag made from the second scarf!
The bag snaps open and shut. Think that is why the bags are called Snap Happy?

Now for the Giveaway rules! In order for you name to be put into the drawing  for the Pirates IN the Caribbean Bag you can do one or all of the following:
