Come with me on a short tour of Walt Disney World's Pop Century Resort!
Pop Century is a value priced resort in Walt Disney World. It's decor is based on many of the 20th century culture crazes. There are ten different four story buildings that are themed according to what was popular during a particular decade. Popular catch phrases are attached to the buildings and giant icons are close by. This is one of my favorite ones. If you look closely at the ears of the elephant you will even see the fingerprints of the artist. This always brings back the memory of the many hours that I played with Play-Doh as a child. Did you? Do your children like to play with Play-Doh now?
How about the movie Jungle book? Here are larger then life statues of Baloo The Bear and
Mowgli The Man Cub.
There are three swimming pools at the Pop Century Resort. The main pool is called the Hippy Dippy Pool and is shaped like a flower. Flower power anyone???
Large flowers placed around the pool spray a welcome shower of water down upon the swimmers.The Bowling Pool (shaped like a bowling pin of course) and the Computer Pool (shaped like a computer monitor) are also on the resort property to add to the many hours of fun in the sun and water.

Well, this little tour is just about over. While I only touched the surface of all that the Pop Century Resort has to offer, know that there is much more there treat the eye and to experience. Young or old, all will enjoy their stay at Pop Century! I guess we had better hop on the bus now and head out to one of the theme parks!
What will it be? Epcot or the Magic Kingdom?
